SPH to hold university fair at Suntec City on Sunday

SINGAPORE - Aspiring scholars will be able to explore a comprehensive range of options from nearly 40 universities at a university fair on Sunday.

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) will hold The Straits Times Recruit Scholarship and Top University Fair from 10am to 6pm at Suntec Singapore, Hall 403. Admission is free.

The fair features more than 20 scholarship boards and almost 40 universities from the US and UK, as well as Australia, Canada and Germany.

Employers include the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Media Development Authority of Singapore, National Arts Council, National Council of Social Services, Navy Recruitment Centre, People's Association, Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore Sports Council, Spring Singapore, and the Yale-NUS College.

Meanwhile, the fair boasts five out of the eight Ivy League universities from the United States - Brown University, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University.

Other top schools include Boston University, Bryn Mawr College, Carnegie Mellon University, Tufts University, TUHH (Hamburg University of Technology), University of Exeter and UNSW Australia.

Those attending can benefit from tips and insights offered by students and official representatives from various universities.

Official representatives from the United States Education Information Centre, Ivy Prep, British Council and the Australian Trade Commission will also be carrying out a series of seminars.
