SINGAPORE - Some OCBC Bank customers who used a pop-up ATM machine at the bank's headquarters on Chulia Street got a surprise on Tuesday.

OCBC bank cluster manager Clement Tee popped out from behind the screen dressed as the God of Fortune, and presented them with an $88 red packet and a pair of Mandarin oranges, ahead of Chinese New Year.

Said business owner Jacob Lieu, 47, who tried out the pop-up ATM at the branch: "I was totally caught by surprise. This is definitely a good start in the Year of Goat."

The specially designed ATM was a one-time pop-up at the branch for a few hours on Tuesday.

Mr Aditya Gupta, OCBC Bank's Head of E-Business Singapore, said: "We wanted to say thank you to our customers in a way that we felt was unique and distinctive."
