Singtel to waive mobile data charges for customers on May 1 after Apr 22 outage

SINGAPORE- Singtel announced on Friday afternoon that mobile data charges will be waived on May 1 for its postpaid customers.

"We thank our customers for their patience and understanding during the mobile data service incident on Wednesday 22nd April," the telco said in a post on its Facebook page.

It was signed off by Singtel's chief executive, Consumer Singapore, Yuen Kuan Moon.

Singtel customers had difficulty accessing 3G and 4G mobile data services for about four hours on Apr 22.

Many subscribers had left comments on Singtel's Facebook page voicing their frustration.
