Pasar Geylang Serai, a market in the Geylang area that has become a landmark for the Malay community, celebrated its 50th anniversary on Friday night at the open field opposite the market. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was the guest of honour at the event, which also saw the launch of the book, Pasar Geylang Serai: 50 Years Of Continuity Amidst Change.
