Singapore is providing Oman with some expertise in visa clearance processes.

IDA International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), signed an agreement on Tuesday with the Information Technology Authority of Oman to provide consultancy services for improving and streamlining visa processes for Oman's foreign domestic workers.

A study will also be done by the IDA subsidiary to improve inspection processes related to the management of workers' welfare in Oman.

IDA International, which drives Singapore's public sector infocomm technology expertise abroad, signed the agreement on the sidelines of Oman's Comex IT and telecom show. A delegation of seven Singapore technology companies led by IDA also participated at Comex. They included ST Electronics and enterprise software solutions form SQL View. It is IDA's fourth year of attending Oman's Comex.
