Runners who sign up for the ST Run at the Hub 2014 are in for an unusual experience - and it has nothing to do with sport.

Participants of the Sept 28 event will each get one ticket, worth $25, to the newly opened Alive Museum.

This, after the attraction, which is known for its quirky and innovative exhibits, signed up as the run's official attraction sponsor.

The entry ticket to Alive Museum is in addition to the goodie pack that each runner will receive. The pack is worth more than $120 and includes a New Balance race top and a commemorative T-shirt.

Said Ms Patsy Ong-Hahl, managing director of Alive Museum licensee Adval Brand Group: "Runners in Singapore continuously seek unique experiences.

"As Alive Museum is the nation's biggest 3-D visual illusion attraction, the partnership with The Straits Times is most apt. It brings new perspectives to those who seek exuberant bonding with their loved ones in a fun and healthy way."

The museum, which opened last week at Suntec City Mall, features 70 paintings specialising in trick art.

Trick art uses an optical illusion to create scenes that allow visitors to seemingly be part of the exhibit.

One exhibit seeks to create the illusion of the visitor being carried by a soaring Superman. Another simulates a whirlpool forming in the middle of a room.

Ms Ong-Hahl added: "When one visits Alive Museum, the largest chain of interactive museums in the world, they capture exceptional moments. We hope to bring this joy and excitement to all participants of this unforgettable run."

The run is organised as part of the Straits Times Appreciates Readers programme to reach out to the community.
