Seven-year-old comes out top in Uno card game competition

SINGAPORE - Seven -year-old Izaan Johanis beat 59 other finalists to be named Singapore champion of the annual Uno Asia card game competition on Sunday.

He won a three days and two nights' stay at Resorts World Sentosa.

Izaan came in fourth in the regional finals against contestants from Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India and Philippines. The competition is open to seven to 15 year olds.

Eight-year-old Abe Hayato from Japan won the regional finals. He received a crystal trophy, a gold plaque and a Singapore coin set as a memento.

The competition was held at at Jurong Point Shopping Centre and attracted more than 200 spectators.
