Road closures and heavy traffic anticipated during weekend consecration ceremony

SINGAPORE - Several roads and lanes are to be closed to vehicles in view of a consecration ceremony by the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple on June 22.

Traffic disruption is expected to be moderate to heavy. Traffic delays are expected along Bukit Timah Road, Rochor Canal Road, Selegie Road, Prinsep Street, Bras Basah Road and Orchard Road. Motorists are advised to plan their route early and avoid these areas, police said in a statement.

Parking restrictions along the peripheral road and lanes will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parked indiscriminately and causing obstruction will be towed away. Members of the public may contact the organiser at the hotline: 6341 7155 for further enquiries.
