New enhancements to WorkPro scheme to help companies look after older employees

SINGAPORE - More incentives for employers to look into flexible work arrangements and implement health programmes for workers will be rolled out from July 1.
The Ministry of Manpower and Singapore Workforce Development Agency on Wednesday announced enhancements to the $170 million WorkPro scheme.
Over 1,000 companies have made use of the scheme - which helps groups such as older workers and back-to-work women, since it was launched last year.
As part of the enhancements, companies applying for the Age Management Grant will need to attend a new Workplace Health Promotion Facilitator course to learn how to improve workplace health practices, and implement a standardised programme to provide older workers with an indication of their health status.
