Municipal Services Office app gets more than 10,000 users since it was launched on Sunday

SINGAPORE - More than 10,000 people have registered to use the Municipal Services Office (MSO) mobile app and 900 cases have been reported via the service since it was launched on Sunday.

The smartphone application, named OneService, provides a common platform for the public to feedback on municipal issues. It automatically routes each feedback to the relevant agency so that more timely service can be provided.

Ms Grace Fu, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Foreign Affairs said in a Facebook post on Friday: "I'm very pleased to hear from my MSO officers that many members of the public have registered to use the app! As of yesterday, we've crossed the 10,000 mark for registered users. We've received more than 900 cases in the last 5 days since the launch through OneService.

She added that top on the list of issues that received feedback were "Cleanliness", "Pests" and "Road and Footpaths".

The government agencies participating in the app include the Land Transport Authority, National Parks Board, People's Association and the Police, among others.

First announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during the National Day Rally last year, the MSO was set up to ensure public agencies better coordinate to provide services that involve more than one of them.

It comes under the Ministry of National Development.
