SINGAPORE- The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) said on Jan 28 that Muis chief executive Haji Abdul Razak Maricar and Mufti of Singapore Dr Mohamed Fatris Bakaram visited the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia to pen condolence messages following the demise of King Abdullah Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Muis added that the Ambassador of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mr Mansour A M Almazmoumi was present to receive the senior management of Muis.
King Abdullah, who became the Saudi monarch in 2005, died on Jan 23 at the age of about 90 after being hospitalised for pneumonia. He has been succeeded by his 79-year-old half-brother, King Salman.
