SINGAPORE - A National Institute of Education student reported missing in Cambodia has been found, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Monday.
Sanjay Radakrishna, 26, had been travelling alone to trek up Phnom Aural in Kampong Speu, but lost contact with his family and friends after Jun 30.
When he did not return to Singapore as expected on July 2, a Facebook post asking for information about him went viral.
Cambodian police found him at the foot of Phnom Aural on Sunday. He was taken to the Singapore Embassy and looked "well and healthy", reported The Phnom Penh Post on Monday.
An MFA spokesman said: "The missing Singaporean has been found safe. The Singapore Embassy in Phnom Penh is in contact with the local authorities and the next-of-kin to arrange for his return to Singapore."
