SINGAPORE - Get real-time weather information, make informed planning decisions and access Singapore's past weather history with the new one-stop weather information website launched by the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) on Wednesday (May 20).

The website, www.weather.gov.sg, provides weather forecasts, warnings and advisories of heavy rain, smoke haze and the long-term climate statistics of Singapore. It also updates users on geological hazards such as earthquakes and tsunamis affecting the region, MSS said in a press statement.

Through MSS' island-wide network of over 60 automatic weather stations, users are able to access real-time observations - updated every five minutes - of temperature, rainfall, humidity and surface wind at various locations across the island.

Weather forecasts ranging from hours to days ahead are also available on the website to help users plan their outdoor activities better.

The website will also provide a database containing the daily readings of rainfall, temperature and wind as well as Singapore's past climate trends and other educational content for individuals seeking to learn more about the country's weather and climate.
