MBS raises record sum of more than $3.8m to benefit 300,000 beneficiaries

SINGAPORE - Integrated resort Marina Bay Sands (MBS) raised a record sum of more than $3.8 million through its charity drive over the weekend.
The Sands for Singapore Festival, which is part of MBS' corporate social responsibility programme, raised funds to benefit more than 80 charities and 300,000 Singaporeans. Charity partners include the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, The Business Times Budding Artists Fund and the Association for Persons with Special Needs,
The weekend event included several charity dinners, an auction of artwork and staff-led tours and hospitality workshops for children and youngsters.
The weekend takings from MBS' attractions - Sands SkyPark Observation Deck, ArtScience Museum, skating rink and sampan rides - also went towards the fundraising effort.
