SINGAPORE - A man caused a stir outside the Lasalle College of the Arts on Monday evening when he removed all his clothes briefly.

Stomp user Claudette submitted pictures of the man - whom she described as a very pale, slightly built young Chinese between 18 and 24 years old - in his underwear, as well as totally naked, to the citizen journalism website.

She added that the man, clad in a white T-shirt and trousers, dropped his backpack and water bottle as he walked alongside the outdoor walkway of the Lasalle building on McNally Street at around 7.15pm before stopping in the middle of the walkway and undressing.

Totally naked, he then ran up to the end of the walkway before returning to his clothes and putting them back on.

The street was not crowded at the time of the incident, although there were passers-by who stopped to stare.

Under Section 27A of the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act, Chapter 184, appearing nude in a public place is an offence.

The person can be fined up to $2,000 or be sentenced to prison for a term not exceeding three months, or both.
