He tried his hand at making coffee, re-learned his mother tongue and even got tips on writing resumes.

But Acting Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin's true passion is in digital photography.

He pledged on Tuesday at a Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) roadshow at Raffles Place to spend 30 hours this year to master digital photography editing software Adobe Photoshop.

"I am going to borrow books from the library to read. There are also a lot of lessons on YouTube. I will try seriously to get it right this time," he told reporters at the sidelines of the event.
