Kids take rides in Lamborghini cars in community fund raiser

SINGAPORE - Around 80 children staying in Punggol West were treated to rides in Lamborghini sports cars on Saturday afternoon, to raise funds to build a new community club (CC) for the area.

The leisurely rides, which took the kids from Punggol Central to the Singapore Sports Hub and back, were provided by 40 members of the Lamborghini Singapore Club.

The second-year event, organised by the Punggol West CC Building Fund Committee, raised around $200,000. Last year, $250,000 was raised.

The funds will support the construction of a new CC for Punggol West, which will be located near Punggol MRT station and will serve up to 50,000 residents. The fund raiser was graced by Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs.
