SINGAPORE - Members of the public wishing to pay their last respects to Mr Lee Kuan Yew at Parliament House had to stand in line for as long as eight hours on Wednesday.

Just how long is the queue?

Straits Times photojournalist Ong Wee Jin decided to find out.

He started at Clarke Quay, and it took him 20 minutes to follow the queue all the way to Boat Quay. Watch the video.

Mr Lim Yaohui, in a video for The Straits Times, took the reverse route, setting off from the Parliament House, and reaching the start of the line at Hong Lim Park in 25 minutes. Watch the video.
