Grassroots groups recognised at People's Association awards

SINGAPORE - Grassroots organisations were honoured for their work at the People's Association Awards on Saturday.
Sixteen awards were given to groups for introducing innovative programmes, and 56 others were presented to recognise the efforts of grassroots organisations in serving residents and promoting community bonding.
The People's Association (PA) also honoured 69 community partners for working with grassroots groups to organise activities for residents.
Mr Lim Swee Say, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and PA deputy chairman, was guest of honour at the ceremony at Buona Vista Community Club Hall.
