Remembering Lee Kuan Yew

Google pays tribute to the life of Mr Lee Kuan Yew with simple black ribbon on home page

Popular search engine Google has paid tribute to the life of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew with a simple gesture.

Those who go to its main home page for Singapore (www.google.com.sg) will see a small, black ribbon just below the search bar.

If you run your mouse pointer over the ribbon, the words, "Lee Kuan Yew, 1923 - 2015" will pop up.

Singapore's founding father Lee Kuan Yew, 91, died at the Singapore General Hospital on Mondary, March 23, where he had been warded for severe pneumonia since Feb 5.
