SINGAPORE - Five well-known groups will undergo a study by a consultancy to strengthen governance and leadership practices in Malay/Muslim organisations.

These groups are: the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), Muhammadiyah Association, Pertapis, 4PM and Ain Society.

The analysis will look into their leadership and organisational competencies and identify performance gaps. A training roadmap will then be developed for these organisations.

"The roadmap will be aligned to national training plans, schemes and initiatives, to ensure that the Malay/Muslim Voluntary Sector remains relevant and effective in meeting the changing needs of the people we serve," said Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information and Minister in-charge of Muslim Affairs.
