SINGAPORE - An exhibition on the transformation of Jurong over the years was launched at the Jurong Green Community Club on Saturday.
The exhibition Walking Down Memory Lane showcases the collective memories of residents through photographs, video clips, audio recordings and various artefacts.
"With this exhibition, we hope to share with our younger residents the challenges our pioneer generation faced as well as their valuable contributions that resulted in what we have today, a modern Singapore," said Mr Ang Wei Neng, advisor to the Jurong GRC grassroots organisations.
After Saturday's launch, the roving exhibition, which is expected to reach some 5,000 residents, will make its rounds to various residents' committee centres and schools within the estate. It will end on August 8.
