West Coast residents go flat out with block artwork

More 400 residents from the West Coast constituency set a record yesterday for the largest art installation to be displayed on the facade of an apartment block in Singapore.
Titled A Peace of Art, the artwork, which measures 26m by 22m, was assembled from 36 panels.
Each one featured different designs, painted by families living in Block 728 at Clementi West Street 2, and the surrounding area.
Housewife Ruziyantee Mohd Sani, 40, took part in the painting with her 65-year-old father, three children and two grandchildren. "It's nice to have it here, hanging right outside our block. We painted heart shapes and put our handprints on the banner," she said.
