SINGAPORE - More than 200 children set a Singapore record at a mass reading session on Saturday, for the "most number of children reading with an adult".

They were organised into small groups, and an adult in each group read with the children. They read stories from the Mustard Seed story series by Ms Emily Lim.

The mass reading session was part of the Hong Kah North Reading Carnival, an annual event by the Hong Kah North Community Club Women's Executive Committee since 2006.

Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower Amy Khor, who is MP for Hong Kah North, also led a group of children during the session.
