Entering PSB Academy, students can expect their future employability to be the most important outcome of learning.

This leading private education institution is proud to partner with Coventry University in Britain, ranked within the top 4 per cent of universities worldwide.

“Coventry University is a reputable British university good in engineering, business, and the design of cars. It also has a history of presence in Singapore and is a well-known name here,” said PSB Academy chief executive Evan Law.

Coventry University is known for its innovative culture, which extends to its modern campus buildings in UK. As quoted by Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor John Quirk, the University’s new Engineering Building includes deliberately unfinished parts so that students can study the internal structure and design of the building, as a working example of what they are learning about. This is an example of how the university does everything with students – and their future employability – as its focus.

The university is constantly trying to find higher-education institutions around the world that share the same philosophy, and that has resulted in a partnership with PSB Academy.

“There is an excellent fit between PSB Academy and Coventry University, in particular around the approach that both institutions take to providing a quality education to students,” said Mr Quirk.
Through PSB Academy, Coventry University will be offering degrees in accounting and finance, business and finance and electrical and electronic engineering. Further degree programmes will follow.

The university, which strives to instil a “can-do” attitude in its students, has shown that it can. This year, it came out top amongst the British “Modern Universities” in the Guardian University Guide 2014. The University also ranked 27th among more than 100 universities in Britain according to the same ranking. The University has several awards to its name, having gained recognition for its success in innovation, the quality of feedback provided to students, and specific subjects such as business and management, and mathematics.

Students who enrol in the programmes offered in Singapore by PSB Academy will experience the same high standards that are practised in Britain. Those who take up the accounting degree will also be exempted from nine papers needed for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) accreditation, which is internationally recognised.

PSB Academy diploma holders will be able to gain direct entry to the second year of the degree programmes.

Mr Quirk is certain that the graduates of these programmes will be employable because the programmes are designed and adapted based on taking in employers’ requirements.

First intake coming up in October. For 2015, it will be March, July and November.
