SINGAPORE - The Institute of Technical Education's annual community outreach event, held on Sunday and Monday (Aug 25), is set to draw 6,000 members of the public and 2,500 secondary school students, organisers said.

The ITE Fiesta, held for the fourth time this year, is an annual event to introduce members of the public to ITE education via exhibits, workshops and other activities.

At the event at ITE College West in Choa Chu Kang, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong, the guest of honour, toured student-run booths showing off the work of ITE schools, from robotics to nursing, along with other Choa Chu Kang GRC MPs.

He also presented family portrait photos to 14 needy recipient families which received makeovers and photography services from the institute as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.
