SINGAPORE - Education Minister Heng Swee Keat played the role of a teacher in a performance by students from eight special education schools on Thursday night.

He introduced the protagonists of the play, who were part of a group of 180 students who attended a four-month arts programme called "Disabilities in Abilities" sponsored by UBS.

The students learnt from artistes such as Babes Conde, Aaron Khek, Little Ong and Ian Loy.

Besides the concert at Raffles Hotel, the students also presented a visual art exhibition and auction, the proceeds of which go towards the Save Homes Scheme for the Elderly.
