SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong congratulated in advance all pupils who will be receiving their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) results on Friday.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, he added: "I hope you will continue to do your best in secondary school. Do make time to pursue your interests, forge strong friendships, and above all, enjoy the journey!"
Earlier on the same day, Education Minister Heng Swee Keat urged parents to encourage their children for their good work.
"Our support, as parents and teachers, means everything to a child," said Mr Heng in a Facebook post.
The PSLE results will be released at 11am on Friday. Pupils can collect their result slips from their primary schools.
The PSLE exams, said Mr Heng, is just one point of a person's lifelong journey of learning and discovery.
He added: "Where there is room for improvement, let's help our children understand how to overcome their challenges and do better."
The words and actions used on children will shape the culture they grow up in, he said.
" I believe we all want a culture where our children feel supported, believed in, and eager to do their best. Let's make this happen," he said.
