SINGAPORE - Two business schools in Singapore - Insead Singapore and the National University of Singapore's Business School - have placed first and second in a ranking of 30 schools in the Asia-Pacific for Master in Business Administration (MBA) programmes.

The results were published in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Global 200 Business Schools Report 2014-2015.

In the previous edition, Insead had clinched the top spot but NUS was fourth.

As part of the survey, employers are asked to select the schools from which they consider hiring MBA graduates. Separately, academics are also asked to list the schools that they find excellent for research in their area of expertise.

These scores are then combined, with the employer score having an 85 per cent weightage.

In the most recent survey, Insead received an employer score of 76.1 and academic score of 99.6, for an overall score of 80.3 while NUS Business School received an employer score of 34.1 and academic score of 99.9, for an overall score of 44.
