SINGAPORE - A total of 52 schools will get new principals next year. The school heads will take up their new positions on Dec 30.
Of these, 20 are newly-appointed principals, the Education Ministry said on Tuesday in a statement on its yearly reshuffle of school heads.
The list also included a new junior college, which will take in its first batch of Integrated Programme students from Catholic High School, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School and the Singapore Chinese Girls' School in 2017. It will be helmed by Madam Cheang Mei Heng, who has headed Serangoon Junior College since 2010.
Mr Manogaran Suppiah, the former executive director of the Academy of Singapore Teachers, will take over Madam Cheang as Serangoon Junior College's new principal.
Other schools getting new heads include Catholic High School, School of Science and Technology, and Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary).
