Two men nabbed for suspected heroin trafficking

SINGAPORE - Two men were nabbed and 1.8 kg of heroin was seized in a drug bust on Thursday.

The operation by the Central Narcotics Bureau targeted a suspected Singaporean drug distributor, a 42-year-old man operating in the vicinity of Sin Ming.

The distributor and one of his alleged clients - also a male Singaporean - were arrested, and are being investigated for drug trafficking.

The drug seized had an estimated street value of more than S$194,000. If convicted, the two men may face the death penalty.
