Two men arrested for graffiti vandalism in North Bridge Road area

SINGAPORE - Two 27-year-old men have been arrested for allegedly vandalising several properties in Singapore.

They allegedly painted graffiti on buildings along Hindoo Road, Dunlop Street, Middle Road, Queen Street, Bugis Street, North Bridge Road and Bencoolen Street.

Police said they received information of graffiti being painted on the exterior wall of a building along a service road near Hindoo Road at 5.34pm on Feb 18. Similar graffiti was found painted on the wall of another building at Dunlop Street after a search.

The two suspects were arrested on March 4 at Prince Edward Road after a joint investigative probe involving officers from the Central and Jurong Police Division.

Both men will be charged on Friday. If found guilty of vandalism, they face a jail term of up to three years, or a fine up to $2,000 or both, and at least three strokes of the cane.
