A teenager was arrested on Friday morning for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in West Coast.

The 18-year-old male is suspected to be behind the theft, which was reported on April 9. The stolen motorcycle was later recovered around Jurong West early Friday morning and the teen was apprehended in West Coast less than 12 hours after.

He is expected to be charged in court on Saturday for an offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code.

If convicted, he could face a maximum jail term of seven years and a fine.
