Singapore International Commercial Court appoints Sir Henry Bernard Eder as International Judge

SINGAPORE - Sir Henry Bernard Eder will be appointed as an International Judge to the Singapore International Commercial Court on Thursday.

A press release from the Prime Minister's Office said that Sir Bernard, a former Judge of the High Court of England and Wales, will be sworn in by President Tony Tan Keng Yam at the Istana later today.

Sir Bernard is widely recognised as an expert in areas such as commercial disputes, civil claims and international arbitration involving all aspects of commercial law including banking, shipping, sale of goods, commodities, oil/gas and insurance. He is currently the Senior Editor of Scrutton on Charterparties and Bills of Lading.

The Singapore International Commercial Court will have a total of 12 International Judges following his appointment.
