SINGAPORE - A 26-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly breaking into a restaurant near Orchard Road and stealing from it.
The restaurant was broken into at about 9.02pm on Sunday. Cash amounting to about $8,000 was allegedly stolen, while the safe was damaged.
The suspect was found after extensive investigations by officers from Tanglin Police Division, said the police in a statement on Monday night.
The accused could face charges of housebreaking and theft by night, and if convicted, he could be jailed up to 14 years and fined.
