SINGAPORE - A collision between a bus and a car killed one and injured two others at the junction of Lorong Ah Soo and Hougang Avenue 1 on Thursday morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the accident at 9.31am and immediately deployed two ambulances, a red rhino, a fire engine and a support vehicle to the scene.

Upon arrival, paramedics found a Chinese woman in her 70s dead.

Rescuers also had to prise open the wreckage with hydraulic tools to remove two men, one 19 and the other in his 20s. Still conscious, they were later taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

All three were in the car when the accident happened.
