A fire broke out at a construction site in Bukit Panjang early Wednesday morning, sending plumes of grey smoke over the surrounding housing estates.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they received a call at about 3am about the incident at the worksite near Junction 10. Three fire engines, a red rhino, an ambulance and five support vehicles were dispatched to the scene.

The SCDF said the fire, which involved wooden materials, was put out using three water jets in half an hour. No injuries were reported.
