Molest suspect nabbed within 40 minutes, after jogger reported to police

SINGAPORE - A 23-year-old man who allegedly molested a jogger along Bukit Batok Road was arrested on Thursday, within 40 minutes of the police being notified.

A 27-year-old woman had told the police at about 9.05pm on Thursday, of how she had been molested by a man while jogging.

Officers from Jurong Police Division conducted a coordinated search in the area, locating and detaining the suspect at about 9.40 pm.

If convicted of outrage of modesty, the suspect may be jailed up to two years, fined, and caned.
