Man rams bus stop, hits 4 cabs with stolen tractor

A MAN in his 30s stole a tractor from a construction site near Orchard Road, ran it into a bus stop, and damaged four taxis during the joy ride.

Police arrested the man, who is believed to have been drunk.

Chinese evening daily Shin Min Daily News reported that he had taken the tractor from a work site at Orchard Hotel.

He drove it onto a walkway, ran over a bollard and crashed the vehicle into a bus stop along Orchard Road.

But that didn't stop him.

He drove on, hitting a taxi along Claymore Road and ramming into a row of three taxis along Claymore Drive before he was caught.

The Straits Times understands that the man was arrested for criminal trespass, theft, mischief and rash driving.
