Man arrested for performing obscene act in public

The police have arrested a 42-year-old man for performing an obscene act in public at Jurong West Street 93.

On Wednesday at about 2.20am, the police received a call from a 24-year-old female victim who reported that the man had committed an obscene act.

The suspect was found to have three mobile phones, a cashcard and five ez-links in his possession. They are suspected to have been fraudulently obtained and have been seized.

If found guilty of the obscene act, the man may jail for up to three months and/or fined and if found guilty of having obtained those items fraudulently, he may be fined up to $3,000 or jailed up to a year.
