Man arrested for outrage of modesty case

SINGAPORE - The police have arrested a 36-year-old man for molesting a woman on a train.

The victim, who reported the incident on Monday, was on her her way to work at the time. She confronted the man and snapped a picture of him with her mobile phone, but he got away.

After an appeal for information through the media, a member of the public responded with information on the man's whereabouts.

He was arrested on Wednesday near Collyer Quay. Investigations are ongoing.

The police say to shout for help immediately if you are molested, to increase the culprit's chances of being caught.

Members of the public should call 999 as soon as possible, and approach the station manager or contact the police for assistance if they see any suspicious looking passengers.
