19-year-old arrested for allegedly stealing motorcycle parts

SINGAPORE - A teenager believed have stolen motorcycle parts in the Marsiling area has been arrested by the police.

The 19-year-old was allegedly involved in at least eight such offences.

The police first received reports about motorcycle component parts - mostly brake components of large capacity motorcycles - being stolen in the area in July.

The man was arrested in Woodlands on Thursday morning. He is expected to be charged in court on Friday for Theft of Vehicle Component Parts, and could face up to seven years in prison.
