10 Singaporeans make police report against investment group Sure Win 4 U

SINGAPORE - At least 10 Singaporeans filed a report on Monday against a Malaysia-based investment company with the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD), a white-collar crime unit under the Singapore Police Force.

The Straits Times understands that the investment company, Sure Win 4 U, entices the public to make an investment and guarantees a monthly return with bonuses. The profits apparently come from casino winnings by "expert gamblers" hired by the company.

Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported on Tuesday that the company claimed on a flyer its "experts" have a 99.8 per cent chance of winning at the casinos, and clients come from countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and China.

Besides the 10 Singaporeans, four other Chinese nationals and Hong Kong citizens have also filed a report at the CAD, reported Wanbao. They have lost $4 million in total. These reports are believed to be the first against Sure Win 4 U.
