Business veterans join board of crowd-finance firm MoolahSense

SINGAPORE - MoolahSense, Singapore's online crowd-financing platform, has announced the appointment of Mr Teng Theng Dar and Mr Prahlad Shantigram to its Board as chairman and director.

Mr Teng, Singapore's non-resident Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, has over 30 years of management experience in Asia, Australia and the Middle East in the fields of agri-food, FMCG and commodities among others. He has also served as the CEO from Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the apex business chamber of the country, from 2008 to 2011.

Mr Prahlad Shantigram was an independent adviser to corporations before joining MoolahSense as director. He has over 20 years of experience in building and managing businesses, executing corporate acquisitions and sales, structuring complex financings, all in an international context.

With both Mr Teng and Mr Shantigram on board, MoolahSense strengthens its workforce as its strives to fulfil its mission in addressing market potentials and tackle unserved customer needs in the broad landscape of finance, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.

The company provides financial services to local businesses and start-ups.
