Top 10 most expensive good class bungalows sold in Singapore in 2014

With a typical land size of 1,400 sq m (15,069 sq ft) and up, good class bungalows (GCBs) are rare - about 2,700 of them exist in 39 estates.

No wonder then that while demand for other types of residential properties in Singapore has fallen sharply, business in the GCB market has held steady, compared with last year.

To date this year, 26 GCBs have been sold with a total value of $587.75 million, an analysis by property services firm CBRE showed. This is comparable to the 29 deals worth $682 million for 2013.

The market in GCBs has fallen though when compared with 2012, when 54 GCBs changed hands for $1.17 billion, or 2010, which saw a record 133 GCBs change hands for $2.38 billion.
