SINGAPORE - Global management consulting firm McKinsey has launched a research centre here focused on helping companies raise productivity.
Called the McKinsey Productivity Sciences Centre, it will initially focus on three sectors - construction, manufacturing and retail and food services.
The centre will also look at plant optimisation, as well as new technologies like additive manufacturing.
It is the first such research centre for the firm globally.
McKinsey's latest effort is in line with Singapore's ongoing productivity push, said Mr S Iswaran, the guest of honour at the launch event on Thursday.
