SINGAPORE - The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) has elected a new president and three new council members.
Mr Gerard Ee has replaced Dr Ernest Kan as president of the national accountancy body from April 19, the ISCA said in a statement on Tuesday.
It said Dr Kan is stepping down "in accordance with the Institute's revised constitution, which seeks to regularly refresh the leadership team, inject new perspectives and involve more members of the profession in spearheading the Institute".
Mr Ee is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore with ISCA and was the Institute's vice-president and chairman of its investigation committee from 2009 to 2011. He started his career as an accountant in 1974 and retired as a partner of Ernst & Young in 2005.
