TOKYO (AFP) - Tokyo stocks rose 0.50 per cent Tuesday morning, after a choppy session on Wall Street as investors weighed the impact of the Iraq crisis and a US Federal Reserve meeting this week.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 75.13 points to 15,008.42 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares was also up 0.50 per cent, or 6.20 points, to 1,240.88.
