Singapore shares down 0.18% amid wider regional falls

SINGAPORE - Local shares dipped slightly on Thursday amid a gloomy day of trading for the region, with sentiment clouded by growing worries about the European economy and international conflicts.
The benchmark Straits Times Index slipped 6.01 points, or 0.18 per cent, to 3,314.22.
Some 1.8 billion shares worth $1.01 billion changed hands.
There were 175 gainers, outnumbered by 246 losers.
