SINGAPORE - The local stock market closed on a quiet note on Friday as geopolitical concerns caused investors to exercise caution.

The Straits Times Index (STI) ended down by 3.13 points or 0.1 per cent to 3,327.09. It was little changed for the week, creeping up by just 1.6 points over last Friday's close of 3,325.5.

Some 1.77 billion shares worth a total value of $1.02 billion exchanged hands in the overall market.

Losers outnumbered gainers by a count of 200 to 184, while 412 stocks were unchanged.
